Ateneo bookstore
Sometimes you are destined to meet someone or something in your life.
On this rainy Sunday, we decided to head over to the most beautiful book store in Buenos Aires, el Ateneo Grand Splendid. It used to be a theater “Teatro Grand Splendid” since 1919, that was converted into a gorgeous bookstore in 2000. We were walking around flipping through books here and there. As we passed by the cafe, where customers can freely bring in books to read while they have coffee, my boyfriend pointed out a book that a couple was looking at, a big beautifully illustrated book. I looked over. “Yes, it is beautiful.” I remarked, and we walked along. Continue reading
