UNIK Restaurant, a Designer’s Culinary Paradise!!

It’s been a busy few weeks and I haven’t been able to blog for awhile. One of the things that kept me busy was dining out for my birthday! Thank you to all my friends who invited me to these yummy expeditions!

So here is one restaurant that can’t be missed! UNIK Restaurant at Soler 5132 in Palermo Soho. You arrive to the restaurant and the doors are locked, thankfully to glass windows, you figure out that it is open and ring the doorbell. The waiter comes to open up and you walk into a magnificent “trendy” place. All the furniture and interior decorations are by unique designers of the 60s and 70s. That said, the designed items are timeless pieces because they are of great design. You can tell, each chair, shelf, table, lamps, paintings, objects, and dinnerware is not just any mass produced item and were chosen with utmost attention and detail. The place was designed and created by Marcelo Joulia of Naço Architectures. All of the items in the restaurant are originals and it took Marcelo over 30 years to collect them.
